- Only NDSTokyoTrim should ever be used in my opinion.
- just use the best trimmer, “NDStokyotrimmer” it’s the obvious best & fastest trimmer, NEVER had a single problem with it.
- The best rom-trimmer out there for the NDS is without doubt NDSTokyoTrim

A: If you use Vista with UAC enabled, or with a non-admin account, you need the 2nd one, “Vista compat…”, otherwise (win95-vista without uac, and Linux), use the normal one that says 32/64-bit)

  9. bas says:

what do you mean with “Auto detection for Wifi games”. Does it do something special then?

  10. yuck says:

    omg…
the background is gross for little people =D

  11. brian says:

    really? in what country?

  12. NavadeHo says:

Nice backgrounds, standard included in the ZIP would be nice, though.

Your program is just perfect :D

  13. hits-man says:

I try to run your file trimmer as I want to use it to rename the files and trim them BUT everytime I try to run the execuatibal it just shuts down my windows xp machine just as if I had hit the shut down button any ideas or segustions?

  14. brian says:

Did you download a modified version of it somewhere else?

  15. hits-man says:

No I downloaded from this site and tried re downloading it 3 times still just shuts off my computer

  16. brian says:

You must have some program that unpacks the exe at run-time (antivirus maybe?). Try the 2nd one that says NDSTokyoTrim (UAC)

  17. hits-man says:

Cool that one worked thanks I like the support !!! and the program all I can say is wow!!! COOL and thanks again and you might put a note anyone having problems with the first one to try the seccond one even with xp

  18. brian says:

Nice, glad it worked for you. I’ll put a notice.

  19. kai445 says:

I love the option to remove scene numbers (Very helpful!) but could you consider adding a way to remove regions perhaps? (like checkbox or an options menu to remove (U)/(USA), (E)/(EUR), (J)/(JAP) or ALL region extensions. (Selectable because I like to keep region extensions on foreign region games).

  20. Brad says:

If A File Is Already Trimmed And You Put It In The Program To Patch It, You MUST Select “Only Patch, don’t trim” Or It Will Skip The File Since It Is Already Trimmed. Also, When Patching A ROM That Is Already Patched, The Log States That It Can’t Be Patched As It Already Has, But It Still Changes The File (Found Through MD5 Checksum).

  21. Brad says:

Sorry For Double-Posting. I Really Should’ve Tested These Beforehand And Put All Info In One Post. Anyway…

I’m Using A Pokémon Leaf Green ROM For This. Trimming It Makes It Playable With The M1 Circuit Board Error Message, Patching It The First Time Removes This Error, But When Sent Through Again With The Patch Setting, I Get The Error Message Again.

  22. brian says:

    You mean for GBA roms?

  23. Brad says:

Yes, I’m Sorry. I Should Have Specified.

Another Thing I Just Found: Drag & Drop Onto .Exe Icon Only Works When Only Dragging A Single File. When Dragging Multiple Files (Using GBA Again), It Only Opens The Program, But Doesn’t List The Files. (Files Must Then Be Opened Afterward)

  24. Brad says:

Sorry For Double-Posting Again, But Your Download Links Are Titled As 2.17 As Opposed To 2.18

  25. brian says:

Fixed the version info. I have a new version almost finished, I will check the drag&drop bug you mentioned

  26. ssjkakaroto says:

brian, can you add 128KiB flash patching (SRAM bankswitching) for GBA Pokemon games so that they can work with the 3-in-1 in NOR mode?
An old topic about this can be found here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=63467

    Thanks

  27. mammarach says:

    does this patch roms?

  28. Robbo says:

Was working until today… Having a problem with the trimmer where the gui has gone transparent?!?!?! (WinXP) how do i prevent this as its a pain in the annus to see what it says… also its been throwing up alot of errors since it happened.

Hey brian, I can’t get the backgrounds to show up, It always says [Wrong backgrounds path.].
I let them in RAR, put ‘em in a ZIP, unrar them to \Backgrounds or to the root, but they din’t show up!
So could you tell me in which folder they have to go? Please?

  35. Ronin says:

    And [Alternate Backgrounds] is enabled.

  36. brian says:

    are they jpg?

  37. Ronin says:

    Yes, they are.

  38. alba1314 says:

Excellent prog. This’ll save loads of room son my 2 sons’ R4 cards! Much appreciation. :)

  39. Johnny Mnemonic says:

Great app, just a shame that there are no custom backgrounds for, y’know, the rest of us. Guess I shouldn’t complain, it’s not like they’re difficult to make or anything. Maybe I’ll crop up some ‘male’ backgrounds, and of course share them if anyone’s interested ;-)

  40. brian says:

    What kind of backgrounds?

  41. Hana says:

Crashing on WXP SP3, anyone else experiencing this? Have the windows dump data too if needed. Primary error message states this:

Exception EAccessViolation in module NDSTokyoTrim.exe at 000C1373. Access violation at address 004C1373 in module ‘NDSTokyoTrim.exe’. Read of address 00000004

    Using AMD 64 X2 with 2GB Ram.

    Thanks
